An exciting week lies ahead for two Bridgnorth Endowed students who are heading out to Madeira to represent Great Britain in this year’s Open European Biathle and Triathle Championships.
Talented athletes, Charlotte and Zoe Gilbody, will join the rest of the GB squad to compete in the three-day event, which takes place in Machico, Madeira from June 28th to 30th.
Zoe is set to race in the U15 category, tackling an 800m run, followed by a 100m sea swim and another 800m run. The Year 7 pupil is currently ranked fourth in the UK for 1500m and ninth for 800m in the U13 girls.
Her older sister, Charlotte, from Year 10, is competing in the Under-17 section of the event, which includes a 1600m run, 200m sea swim and further 1600m run.
