The impact our 1:1 Device for Education Programme has had on students’ learning, since its launch in September 2018, has been extremely positive.
Students at Bridgnorth Endowed School are able to learn, collaborate and engage in innovative ways – an essential part of preparing for life in an increasingly digital world.
As a school, we strongly believe in the benefits of this programme and the educational value of students having their own personal device. It plays a vital role in strengthening the link between learning at school and at home.
With access to the latest technology, exactly when and where it’s needed, students are given the very best opportunity to succeed both in the classroom and beyond.
The school is now fully cloud-based, and we actively encourage all students with devices to use our in-house educational resources. Our vision is clear: every student at Bridgnorth Endowed will have access to their own personal device to support flexible, modern learning and help them reach their full potential.

1. What are Windows education laptops?
Windows education devices are a reliable, education-focused alternative to Chromebooks and MacBooks, running on the Windows operating system — a familiar, versatile platform trusted by schools, universities, and businesses worldwide.
Combining seamless integration with cloud storage, access to Microsoft 365, and compatibility with Google’s suite of applications, these devices are perfect for browsing the internet, emailing, streaming videos, working on projects, and using a wide range of educational tools.
Built with durability in mind, they’re designed to withstand the rigours of daily school life, from classroom use to homework on the go. Features like drop-resistant, spill-resistant keyboards and toughened screens make them an ideal choice for students.
2. Why has the school opted for these devices?
We’ve chosen the ASUS BR1204F because it’s a reliable, education-focused device built to meet the demands of everyday school life. Its durable, student-friendly design, paired with Windows 11 compatibility, gives students seamless access to a wide range of learning apps and tools.
With versatile 2-in-1 touchscreen functionality, this device is ideal for interactive lessons and creative projects, while long battery life and built-in security features ensure it stays safe, dependable, and ready for use throughout the school day – whether in the classroom or at home.

6. What does the warranty and repair service cover?
The Guaranteed Repair Service covers device malfunction, accidental damage (including liquid damage) and theft. Malicious damage and loss are not covered.
Devices are covered for three years, which is the maximum support that any manufacturer is able to offer. Unfortunately, this period cannot be extended.
However, these devices can stand up to a lot as they are specifically designed for student use with a ruggedised outer casing and enhanced specification.
If there is an issue, the student simply needs to take their device to Mr Wood, our IT Technician, and he will deal with it from there. If he is unable to fix the problem, he will send it off for repair and lend the student a spare device in the meantime.
