Corporal Hirsch Receives First Aid Award

Year 10 student, Sam Hirsch, receiving his Certificate for First Aid

Congratulations to Sam Hirsch, from Year 10, who has been awarded a St John’s Ambulance Certificate for First Aid as part of his Royal Air Force Air Cadet training.

Sam, a member of 63 Bridgnorth Squadron for over three years, recently completed the essential first aid course, learning how to deal with medical emergencies such as chest pains, bleeding and choking.

During his time as an RAF Air Cadet, he’s gained a number of important life skills and enjoyed taking part in all sorts of exciting activities and experiences.

From rock climbing to parachuting, canoeing to camping, the programme includes a wide range of action-packed pursuits, designed to foster a sense of adventure.

Training and education also play a key role, and cadets are encouraged to develop as well-rounded young people who are able to make a positive contribution to society.
