Artists from Bridgnorth Endowed proudly unveiled their entry for the Thiers Ville Haute en Couleurs art event earlier today.

For the past six years, the Bridgnorth Twinning Association has invited local schools to take part in the French town’s annual art exhibition, in which banners are hung around its streets from June to October.

In response to this year’s ‘Extraordinary Garden’ theme, the group of eight students put their heads together and planned an eye-catching, colourful design that features intricate floral and leaf patterns.

Art teacher, Mrs Rhodes, reported: “The students worked really hard during lunchtimes and after school, carefully painting the banner in bright, bold colours to ensure all of the detail would be seen from a distance when on display.”

“The enthusiasm and commitment from the students has been incredible and they’ve demonstrated a great deal of independence, teamwork and creativity to produce an exciting banner in a limited amount of time.”

Well done to Amelie Maynard, Faith Ryan, Lily Proctor, Rory Banks, Thomas Hiam, Charlie Robinson, Henry Rhodes and Josie Harrington for dedicating their time and efforts to the project.
