Eddie, a Year 7 student, and Josh Sykes, a Year 9 student, are both keen hockey players and have been selected to represent Shropshire County in upcoming competitions and games.
Both Eddie and Josh started their hockey journey from a young age and began playing at Slough in Windsor when they were around the age of four or five.
However, their love for hockey continued as they began playing for Telford, which is now their current team.
Both boys, along with playing for Telford, now play in Bridgnorth Endowed’s after-school hockey club, and have taken part in competitions against other local schools.
They were then selected to play for Shropshire County, and every weekend play games against other counties.
In their last game, the Shropshire junior team played against Warwickshire and won two games, lost one, and drew one. They also played alongside and against adults when playing Tamworth, and Shropshire won 8-0.
Eddie states: “I have played lots of competitions for Telford and when I’m older I want to become a hockey player.”
