Archie Signs at West Brom for Another Two Years

Football star, Archie Williams, is delighted with the news that he’ll be staying on at West Bromwich Albion’s Academy and moving up to the Under 13’s team.

The gifted Year 7 student, who was signed last season, has just been given another contract at the Birmingham club, but this time it’s been extended to two years.

When it comes to securing a spot on the team, competition is extremely tough, with some players being dropped and new talent coming along every week.

Archie’s football career, which started at the age of five, has gone from strength to strength over the years, but the demand for commitment continues to ramp up.

He trains three times a week at the WBA Academy ground, one session being on day-release from school, which includes lessons at the Academy as he’s expected to keep on top of his schoolwork. Match day is on Sundays and this takes him all over the country.

Proud grandad, Rob Williams, said: “Archie is football mad and all he ever wants to do is play. He plays for West Brom, plays for the school and even has a kick about when he gets home. He also manages to get all of his homework done as that’s something that is closely monitored by the Academy’s Educations Officer.”

Congratulations to Archie on his fantastic news.
