Bridgnorth Endowed School recently faced Oldbury Wells in the final of a South Shropshire U13 rugby competition, held at the end of last month.
With the game underway, it was clear that there was little in the way of skill and determination to separate these two sides.
Both teams attacked and defended effectively for long periods until eventually Bridgnorth Endowed managed to find a way through the defence to cross the try line and score.
BES then repeated this feat towards the end of the match and went on to win an excellent final, in which both teams can be rightfully proud of their performance.
PE teacher, Mr McAdam, said: “I was really impressed by the way the boys came together as a team in the second half.”
“They’d been under a lot of pressure in the early stages of the game but the support they showed towards each other during the half time talk certainly made a difference.”
