Year 7 Team Building Trip

Year 7 students on their activity day at the Lakeside Centre in Worcester

Adventure was in the air last week, when Year 7 students headed off to the University of Worcester’s Lakeside Centre for a jam-packed day of exciting activities and challenges.

Designed to help the new cohort bond, the trip included a range of activities to improve teamwork, problem solving, leadership and communication skills, while building resilience, confidence and self-esteem.

There were smiles all round as students got stuck into climbing, abseiling, the leap of faith and bush craft, while supporting each other and cheering everyone on.

Assistant Head, Mrs Tristham, who leads the school’s personal development programme, said: “The adventure day was a great success and we will certainly look at doing this again next year.”

“Our previous Year 7s did this trip towards the end of the year, but we felt it was a valuable opportunity for them to build strong relationships to take them through their time at BES and beyond.”
