Year 8 Architect Visit

Ashley Davis talking to Year 8 students about architecture

Local architect and Bridgnorth Endowed parent, Ashley Davis, kindly came into school on Monday to talk to some of our Year 8 art students who are currently studying architecture.

She talked about her career as an architect and her pathway into the profession, including the subjects she took at school and the range of careers open to her.

Ashley also showed the students examples of her work and projects she did at university as well as photographs of many of the projects she has completed throughout her career.

Putting their design skills into practice, the students then completed a task to create an architect’s drawing for an extension on a building, based on a client’s brief.

A big thank you to Ashley for giving up her time to shine a light on the exciting world of architecture.
