Year 6 Pupils Get a Taste of BES

Mrs Tristham giving an assembly to welcome the new Year 7s to Bridgnorth Endowed

Primary school pupils due to start at Bridgnorth Endowed School this September had a taste of what’s to come at two transition days held earlier this week.

The Year 6s got the chance to meet subject teachers and experience a range of different taster lessons, where they took part in some exciting activities and hands-on practicals.

And the fun didn’t stop there! The new starters were given a complete tour of the campus and also enjoyed a swim in the school’s 25-metre pool, a lively music session plus a challenging tutor quiz.

At lunchtime, the whole group came together and were able to sample the fantastic food served at BES, including a tasty themed lunch to celebrate American Independence Day on the 4th.

The transition from primary to secondary school is a big step and these days are specifically designed to support the journey to Year 7, making sure the move goes as smoothly as possible.

The next big date in the calendar is the start of the new school year, which is on Tuesday 6th September. Thank you to our wonderful student leaders and staff who helped to make this event a huge success.
