A number of Bridgnorth Endowed School athletes competed in the Shropshire Schools Cross Country Championships in Oswestry on Saturday.
Congratulations go to Zoe Gilbody (pictured right), who won the Year 7 girls’ race in emphatic style.
Charlotte Gilbody and Holly Bingham performed really well in a tough intermediate girls’ race, coming in 5th and 25th respectively.
Henry Gibbons took a very creditable 9th place in the Year 7 boys’ race.
Archie Wickens ran well to finish 8th in the junior boys’ race and Max Cattle, an intermediate, clinched an impressive top ten position in one of the longest races of the day.
As a result of these performances, Charlotte and Archie have gained selection to represent Shropshire in the National Schools Cross Country Championships event, which takes place in March.
