Summer made an early appearance with a special Australian themed ‘Sunshine and Surf’ menu put on by school caterers, Aspens, yesterday lunchtime.
From the main counter, students enjoyed either BBQ pulled pork or portobello and peach burger, served with spicy wedges, roasted veggies and coleslaw.
At ‘Grab and Go’ there were BBQ snags, burgers with the lot, Aussie meat pies and spicy veggie burgers with the lot.
Desserts were a hit too, with a tempting choice of luscious lamingtons, fresh fruit pavlovas and other homemade sweet treats.
Students thoroughly enjoyed the event and some told us what they thought of the food:
“Top burger.”
“Hot dogs look great.”
“Really tasty.”
“A big thumbs up, the food is really nice.”
Aspens were appointed as caterers at the start of the school year, and students and staff continue to be extremely impressed with the quality and variety of food on offer.
