Bridgnorth Endowed produced a solid display in beating The Marches School of Oswestry at home on Monday evening.
Ronnie Yates opened the scoring after excellent pressing from Captain Archie Williams, and Bridgnorth forced a second through an own goal after excellent work from Will Hobday.
Archie Williams then went on to add a third, before Marches staged a fight back to score two well-taken goals.
However, BES responded with Finn Heeks scoring his first senior goal to secure progress into Round 2 of the ESFA National Cup.
Assistant Coach, Finn Kerin, said: “I was impressed with the interplay in wide areas, Bridgnorth looked a threat all game.”
“A big thank you to Archie Bradburn for refereeing his first secondary fixture. He gave a solid performance and controlled the game well.”
