Spanish Play Hits the Stage at BES

Onatti Productions performing Primera Cita to Bridgnorth Endowed School students

Last Thursday, the modern foreign languages department were pleased to welcome a much-anticipated visiting play from theatre group, Onatti Productions.

Students from Years 7 to 9 got the chance to hone their language skills at a lively interactive performance of ‘Primera Cita’, the company’s most popular Spanish play.

The highly entertaining plot gave the audience hilarious insight into two teenagers, Carlos and Maria, preparing for and then going on their first date.

Costumes, soundtracks, props and gestures were used to aid understanding and the professional actors covered key vocabulary and grammar in an audience-appropriate way.

MFL teacher, Mrs Porter, said: “The play was a great success and feedback from pupils was very positive. We’d like to thank the PTA who helped to fund the event, along with the proceeds from last month’s European Day of Languages cake sale.”

Onatti Productions will be returning to Bridgnorth Endowed School with French play in February of next year.
