National Citizen Service Workshops

Year 10 students taking part in the NCS communication and creativity workshops

The National Citizen Service (NCS) came into school last week and ran a number of workshops for our Year 10 students.

The focus was on improving communication and creativity through teambuilding, which involved a variety of group activities.

Students embarked on tasks, such as turning themselves into washing machines and binbag fashion models, to test themselves in teams.

Nicole Terry from NCS comments: “The main aim of the workshops is to make Year 10s aware of NCS before we come in to offer them the opportunity to join the summer programme in Year 11.”

NCS is a life-changing four-week scheme open to all teenagers aged 15 to 17. It helps them to discover who they are and what they can do, through a range of experiences and challenges.
