Double delight as Girls’ Football Teams Triumph

Bridgnorth Endowed is celebrating, after the U16 Girls’ team reached the next round of the National Cup following last night’s 7-0 defeat of Charlton School.

Bridgnorth started well and surged ahead with Skye McWilliams scoring a staggering five goals, dangerously cutting in from the left.

An excellent run and calm finish from Livy Holt extended the lead before the energetic Harriet Walton completed the scoring.

It was then the turn of Bridgnorth Endowed’s U14s who didn’t disappoint either. They progressed courtesy of a 5-0 win against Burton Borough, with goals coming from Lucy Hill and Isla Powell-Bevan, plus a hat-trick from Sophia Avraam.

PE teacher, Mr Chase, highlighted the calm passing of the ball at the back and the excellent defence-splitting passes to create the scoring opportunities.

He praised both teams for producing a really enjoyable evening of girls’ football. Well done to all!
