Bridgnorth Endowed’s U12s progressed to Round 2 of the English Schools’ football competition, following a short trip into Staffordshire to face Perton Middle on Wednesday evening.
The newly formed Year 7 team took a little time to gel and fell a goal behind early in the game, but Harrison Hakeman managed to score a leveller before the break.
BES continued to grow in confidence and took a deserved lead when Harry Garman slotted past the keeper, then secured the win when Hakeman turned the ball into the net with his right foot.
The squad look forward to facing either Codsall Middle or The Streetly Academy in Round 2. Well done to the boys and the best of luck in the next round.
