Today marked the final day of in-school Covid-19 testing, which has been hailed a success thanks to the hard work of Bridgnorth Endowed’s highly efficient team of support staff.

Since welcoming pupils back in a phased approach from 8 March, the team has conducted three rapid coronavirus tests on each consenting student to find no positive cases.

Testing has been a key strategy in getting pupils back into classrooms and the high consent rate at the school is testament to the overwhelming backing from parents and carers.

Senior Leader, Mrs Underhill, commented: “We’d like to thank our fantastic students, parents and staff for their much-needed support throughout this process.”

“The testing regime is a crucial element in keeping us safe and everyone has pulled together to make sure it’s all gone as smoothly as possible.”

From Monday, students will carry out home tests on a twice weekly basis to help prevent the spread of the virus in school.
