Last week, Bridgnorth Endowed School announced the launch of its new and improved ‘Buy Your Own Device’ programme.
As the school’s IT strategy develops and moves towards being fully cloud-based, the scheme has undergone a detailed review with a sharp focus on accessibility for students.
The vision is for students to have the flexibility to access the network while in school and also be able to use their devices freely at home.
Three Lenovo Chromebook models have been selected, which offer this facility and deliver all of the necessary requirements in terms of security, ease of use and robust design.
The purpose of the programme is to enable a vital link between learning at school and at home, giving students the opportunity to collaborate and interact in new and innovative ways.
Alongside the scheme, students will be offered lunchtime and after-school sessions to build their skills and confidence in using the Chromebooks and hopefully create some ‘champions’ too.
