Bridgnorth Endowed Launches Virtual Open Event

The new virtual map allows visitors to tour the campus at Bridgnorth Endowed School

An exciting virtual open event for pupils looking at secondary schools for next September has been launched on the Bridgnorth Endowed website today.

The idea behind the project was to provide an experience that would give prospective students and parents a flavour of life at the school, as well as access to the information they need.

Normally, the school looks forward to opening its doors and showcasing everything it has to offer but, due to the onging coronavirus crisis, that has not been possible this year.

Instead, Bridgnorth Endowed has taken a virtual approach and created a brand-new event that offers a whole host of special features through a seamless online journey.

Following a talk from the Headteacher, pupils are able to take a tour of the campus and look around key areas using the very latest in 360° technology.

Next, the Year 7 curriculum is brought to life with the chance to explore each subject through videos from the teachers, course highlights and other interactive elements, such as a digital sketchbook of pupils’ artwork.

There’s also information about the extensive after-school programme, plus the chance to hear from students and get answers to some of the questions frequently asked by parents at open evenings.

To round off the event, students and parents are able to see a video of the school in action and get the behind-the-scenes view of what Bridgnorth Endowed is really like.

Before leaving, visitors are given a choice of next steps, including options to request a chat session with members of staff, book a small group tour, and even register for a thank you gift.
