BES Student Wins Wolves S-X Factor Competition

Year 8 student, Logan Pope, is passionate about music and was delighted when his ‘lockdown lyrics’ were chosen as the winning entry in a recent Wolves Foundation competition.

The S-X Factor, which featured Wolves ambassador and top grime artist S-X, challenged eight to 18-year-olds who attend the Foundation’s PL Kicks programme to produce their own lyrics to fit a piece of audio.

The panel of judges voted Logan’s as the best of the entries they’d received, and the talented 12-year-old scooped the top prize – a highly sought-after 2019/20 full squad signed shirt.

Proud mum, Pippa, said: “He loves all kinds of music so it was an ideal competition for him. We didn’t imagine he’d win, it was just something he enjoyed and had fun creating, so when he found out he’d won he was over the moon.”

“He loves piano and is always playing, whether it’s practicing his exam pieces, composing his own music, or trying to work out something he’s heard. If he hears a song he likes, he’ll work at it relentlessly until he can play it – with or without the music.”

Logan added: “I couldn’t believe it when Mum got the email to say that I’d won. I love music, and I’m a huge Wolves fan. We have season tickets and Wolves really means a lot to me, so to win this shirt is amazing.”

Huge congratulations to Logan.
