Bridgnorth Endowed Appoints New Head Boy and Girl

The new Head Boy and Girl for this academic year have been announced as Nathan Jones and Holly Tyrls.

After a thorough selection process, the two were picked to take up the challenge and were awarded their lanyards from Mr Worth this week.

The Year 13 students will play key roles as leaders, both within the school and in events organised for the wider community.

The Head Boy and Girl are expected to act as role models to all students, and support the ethos and values of the school.

Day to day duties include organising school council meetings, managing the House Captains, reporting to the school’s Senior Leadership Team, holding assemblies and taking part in charity fundraising events.

On top of these responsibilities, Nathan is taking A Levels in chemistry, biology and English, and enjoys music and theatre in his spare time. He has a special interest in conservation, which he hopes to go on to study.

Holly’s subjects are health, art and English, and her aim is to become a primary school teacher. She loves planning and organising events, and her hobbies are art and photography.

Mr Worth said: “Congratulations to all the students that applied – the quality and leadership shown by this year’s candidates was exceptional.”

“Nathan and Holly will be fantastic ambassadors for Bridgnorth Endowed School and I wish them every success.”
