Year 7 and 8 students were treated to a spectacular BAE Systems Roadshow on Monday, which was delivered in partnership with the RAF and the Royal Navy.
Designed to promote the perception of STEM subjects in schools, the engaging theatre roadshow event tackled a theme that took students on a journey ‘from the depths of the oceans to outer space’.
The team examined the engineering challenges that are faced when travelling to the most inhospitable places and explained some of the innovative solutions to these problems.
Careers Officer, Miss Edwards, commented: “Our students thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and got to grips with some complex theories through exciting visuals and props.”
“We are always keen to run these events to inspire and inform our younger students as they begin to consider future study and career pathways.”
