Beauty and the Beast is back in rehearsals at Bridgnorth Endowed and spirits are high as the brand-new cast begins working towards live performances set for March 2022.
The lead roles were recently announced, with Lucy Burgoyne starring as Belle, alongside Harry Lewis and Dewi Arch who are sharing the iconic role of Beast.
The screen-to-stage adaptation includes all of the wonderful songs from the original film, as well as some new material from top musical team, Alan Menken and Tim Rice.
This, together with the scope for exciting costume and set design, promises to deliver a sensational stage production for audiences to remember.
Drama teacher, Mrs Taylor, commented: “We are so excited to start rehearsals again – it’s great to see the students enjoying themselves and mixing with other year groups.”
“Beauty and the Beast offers such a magical theatre experience, this could possibly be our most ambitious and spectacular show yet.”
Performances of Beauty and the Beast will run at Bridgnorth Endowed Leisure Centre from Thursday 24th to Saturday 26th March 2022.
