An idea for an art competition was sparked by a regular request from pupils and the winners were announced by Bridgnorth Endowed’s Creative Arts Department earlier today.
The competition brief was to design the most imaginative and unique front cover for their art sketchbook, using different styles, skills and materials.
Art teacher, Mrs Rhodes, said: “I’d been asked by lots of students if they could decorate the front cover of their art books so I decided to launch a contest to do just that.”
“I received over 30 entries from Years 7 to 9, which were all amazing as everyone had taken the time to show their creativity and make the sketchbooks their own.”
Freya Southall and Concetta Probert, both from Year 7, and Amelie Maynard from Year 9 will each receive a prize for their winning entries and all pupils will be awarded a house point for their efforts.
