Last night, over 100 Year 9 and 10 students enjoyed a fantastic trip to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre to watch J.B. Priestley’s An Inspector Calls. The play, which they will be studying as part of their GCSE English Literature course, was brought to life in an intense and gripping performance.
Students were completely absorbed in the drama, with many visibly shocked by the dramatic set collapse—a powerful moment that made a real impact. The production’s atmosphere and strong message definitely left a lasting impression.
Alongside their enthusiasm for the play, the students’ behaviour was exemplary and their engagement with the performance will no doubt help deepen their understanding of the text back in the classroom.
This trip was a great chance for students to connect with the play in a way that will support their learning for their exams. A huge thank you to the staff who helped make the experience happen.
