World Book Day Gets Crafty

Dennis and Gnasher from The Beano

We’re encouraging everyone to get crafty for this year’s World Book Day, as part of a brand-new competition that was launched in school earlier today.

To celebrate the popular annual event, which takes place next Thursday, students and staff are invited to hone their creative skills and bring their favourite fictional characters to life using any craft materials they like.

Ideas include transforming a potato, wooden spoon, jam jar or shoe box. You could make a paper mâché monster or even dress up a soft toy…the possibilities are endless. Whatever it is, the key is to have fun.

Please email a photo of your book-inspired crafty creation to Miss Laybourne at by Thursday 4th March.

For more information, please download the event flyer.
