What’s New This Term?

Bridgnorth Endowed School’s gates date back to 1908

Exam Results

Our A-Level students did extremely well with a 96% pass rate, which is a marked improvement on last year. Over 52% of students achieved A*–C grades and those heading off to university were all offered their first choices.

There were also some considerable achievements in this year’s GCSE results. In particular, the top grades saw the biggest rise with a record number of students being awarded Grade 9.

New Staff

We are delighted to announce two additions to the teaching staff. We’d like to welcome Mr Fox, our new music teacher and Mrs Lowden, who will be teaching food technology.

Facilities Update

As you walk around the school, you’ll hopefully notice quite a few changes. Our refurbishment programme has included painting, replacing flooring, renewing toilets, sprucing up the gardens and updating classrooms.

In reception, we’ve put up a ‘privacy’ wall, which creates a discreet area for visitors and anyone in need of individual attention and, at the same time, allows students to walk through the building to get to lessons.

The original iron gates at the old entrance to the school, opposite Bridgnorth Hospital, have been restored to their former glory. They were first installed in 1908, when the Grammar School was built, and are an iconic symbol of Bridgnorth Endowed.

Technology Investment

As touch screen TVs deliver a more engaging, interactive experience for students, we’ve invested in the installation of screens in 22 of the classrooms, replacing the previous smartboards, and bringing our technology bang up-to-date.

New Caterers

We’re pleased to introduce our newly appointed caterers, Aspens. They will be offering a delicious range of healthy and delicious, hot and cold food options and run regular themes and promotions to give you plenty of variety.

Exciting new dining areas will also be coming soon.
