Welcome from the New Headteacher

Bridgnorth Endowed School’s new headteacher

I am delighted to have been appointed as the new headteacher of Bridgnorth Endowed School. It is an absolute privilege to have been asked to lead the school into the next phase of its improvement and growth. I am very keen to get to know all our pupils, parents, carers and staff.

I have an array of educational experiences, most recently as the Deputy Principal at a large, high-performing 14-19 Academy in Birmingham. From my experience, I know that a successful and happy school depends on all of us working together.

At the heart of my vision for the school is a commitment to high standards, inclusion and social mobility. By continued focus on students’ pastoral and academic development, we will sustain and enhance the positive atmosphere that resonates throughout each day, and in every part of the school.

I hold a strong belief in the power of education to change children’s lives and the right of every child to receive an excellent education. I am dedicated to building opportunities for students to achieve the highest academic standards, ensuring that they are known well as individuals and that their unique personality, talents and interests are nurtured and
developed to the full.

At Bridgnorth Endowed, education is about developing the whole child and providing opportunities for them to flourish both inside the classroom and beyond. It is the aim of the whole school team to help each child become a successful learner and well-rounded individual who is ready to make the next steps in their learning journey.

Bridgnorth Endowed School has a history of high expectations and excellence. I am looking forward to learning more about the school so that the changes we make in this new chapter are supported by the whole school community.

As parents and carers, you make an important contribution to your children’s achievements, and I am excited to build on the relationship between you and the school for everyone’s benefit.

I will be holding a number of events in the coming months, including drop-in sessions/meet and greets, and I look forward to meeting many of you there. These sessions will take place at different times in the day and week in the hope that as many families as possible will have the opportunity to attend.
