It was a happy Wednesday as U13 boys progressed into the next round of the County Cup with a 5-0 away win against Shrewsbury Academy yesterday.
Despite captain Charlie Curl Cutler and last week’s goal scorer Ryan Gaff being absent, the others stepped in to cover efficiently.
Charlie Knowles opened the scoring ahead of a superb hat-trick from Harry Quinton, and Elijah Farley netted the final goal.
PE teacher, Mr Chase, said: “A fantastic result! Spirits were high on the way home and the boys proved that they weren’t just footballers with a moving rendition of Bill Withers’ Just the Two of Us.”
