School Initiative to Reduce Plastic

As part of Bridgnorth Endowed’s eco initiative to drastically reduce single-use plastic in school, all students were given a shiny new water bottle in tutor time earlier today.

These high-quality metal water bottles, in the colours of the four houses, can be filled up with water from stations around the school and can also be used in conjunction with our brand-new Blue Mountain drinks machine.

Linked to students’ school lunch accounts, the Blue Mountain ‘Sustainability Station’ uses micro-filtered water to vend additive- and allergen-free chilled fruit drinks, which count as one of their 5-a-day.

Each 330ml serving costs just £1 and students can choose from three delicious flavours – strawberry, mixed berry, and orange and mango – so they can enjoy refreshing hydration and also do their bit to save the planet.
