Bridgnorth Endowed School has made a commitment to grow girls’ football in the Bridgnorth area, in line with its ongoing association with the Girls’ Football School Partnerships initiative.

Set up by the Youth Sport Trust, the FA and Barclays, the purpose of the nationwide scheme is to drive the growth of the women’s game at grassroots level by helping to develop girls’ football.

This is achieved through bespoke FA programmes, delivered to local schools via a network of hubs that strive to engage, excite and encourage girls to make football a part of their life.

As the hub for this area, Bridgnorth Endowed has therefore pledged to provide girls with equal access to:

  • Learn through football in PE lessons
  • Participate in girls only football sessions
  • Compete in girls’ football school fixtures/events
  • Lead girls’ football activity for others
