Online Careers Guidance to Support Students During Closure

Some of the online platforms that provide helpful careers information, advice and guidance

With UK schools currently closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the shift away from the classroom has not only affected formal lessons but also had an impact on other key areas, such as careers education.

In a bid to support Year 11s in particular, the careers team at Bridgnorth Endowed have researched the very latest online careers resources to find out what’s available to help students look into possible study and career pathways.

Our Useful Careers Links web page has been fully updated with links to a range of websites that provide helpful advice and guidance about careers, employability skills, apprenticeships, university courses and more.

Students are able to access a number of features and tools to explore future careers and find the best routes into them, as well as gaining insight through videos of real people talking about their careers and information on specific sectors.

Another recent addition to the website is the Careers Noticeboard, where any relevant notices about study, training, apprenticeship and employment opportunities are regularly posted.

Plus, we have a superb section for our students to find some inspiration through the personal stories of former students, who have gone on to have successful careers across a range of diverse fields, including the forces, medicine, business and law.
