House Music Competition Hits the Right Notes

Students from Years 7 to 9 brought energy and entertainment to the stage in this year’s House Music Competition, which has been taking place in school over the past few weeks. Their outstanding performances highlighted some impressive vocal skills, instrumental talent, and creative arrangements, all delivered with confidence, passion and plenty of musical flair.

The atmosphere was electric as students worked hard to impress the judges, while classmates cheered them on with unwavering support, encouraging them to earn as many points for their houses as possible.

Music Teacher, Miss Thorp, said: “This has been a fantastic music-making experience. The students performed really well as soloists, in small ensembles, and as whole classes, showcasing some real musical skill and ability. I have been extremely impressed, and really enjoyed judging the competition alongside other members of staff, including various senior managers, who kindly gave up their time to be on the panel.”

“The students showed great courage getting up and performing in front of their peers and the judges. They should all be very proud of themselves. Well done everyone!”
