Former Students Send Messages of Support

To offer some encouragement to Bridgnorth Endowed School pupils during the COVID-19 crisis, three distinguished former students have sent videos with personal messages of support.

Cross-country skier, Fern Cates, who competed in the World Championships for the British Nordic Ski Team, filmed her message from the French Alps, where she currently lives.

As well as sharing her top tip for motivation, Fern gives Rowley House a big shoutout for the 2020 Virtual House Competition that’s running over the last few weeks of term.

Messages were also sent from singing and acting star, Ross Antony, who presents his own Saturday night prime time TV show on German television and professional flat jockey, Rob Hornby.

Rob urged students to “keep up the hard work and stay positive in these times” and explained how the lockdown has affected the horse racing world over the past couple of months. He went on to wish everyone the best of luck in the battle of the houses, especially his previous house Hardwicke, which he was “rooting for all the way”.
