Former Y11 student and Trust Award winner, Emelia White

Bridgnorth Endowed School rolled out the red carpet on Thursday evening for a spectacular awards event at St Mary’s Church in Bridgnorth. The dazzling ceremony brought together distinguished guests, proud parents, alumni, and staff to honour the outstanding achievements of over 100 students.

Guest speaker Harry Lowbridge, a former student and now a star of ITV’s Coronation Street, captivated the audience with reflections on his time at BES, insights into his acting career, and the transformative power of aspiration and perseverance.

Students were recognised for their exceptional accomplishments across various fields, with departments nominating two students from each year group for either outstanding attainment or exceptional effort in their respective subjects.

Beyond academic awards, the evening also celebrated achievements in sport, the arts, community service, and contributions aligned with the school’s five core values of Trust, Aspiration, Kindness, Resilience and Respect.

A standout moment of the ceremony was the presentation of the prestigious Headteacher’s Awards to Dewi Arch and Amelie Maynard. These former students were acknowledged for excelling in a number of areas during their time at the school and leaving an inspiring legacy for current pupils.

The celebration also featured some incredible vocal performances from five talented students, and included a preview of the school’s upcoming production of Matilda which is set to open in April 2025.
