Big Win for BES U16 Boys

The Bridgnorth Endowed School U16 Boys’ Team

Last night, the U16 boys produced their best performance since their appearance in the County Cup Final, by defeating a strong Henley-in-Arden side that featured several academy players.

Bridgnorth Endowed adapted well to the Warwickshire College pitch, intuitively changing their usual passing style to be more direct.

Sam Preece opened the scoring before half time and the returning Charlie Walker and Fabian Gordon continued to stretch and cause Henley problems, making way for Ben Hadley’s long-range effort.

A fantastic move saw Jacob Allan break from midfield to add a third goal, before bagging a fourth from a direct free kick for a final score of Henley 0-4 BES.

Excellent defending from Reynolds, Denny, Jukes and Josh Fox saw Bridgnorth progress to the next round of the English Schools’ Cup. Well done boys!
