BES Students Put on Crucial Performance for Year 6s

Hundreds of primary school children in Shropshire, who are set to move up to secondary school in September, took part in some crucial safety training last week and Bridgnorth Endowed students played a key role in the event, which has been running for more than 25 years.

The Bridgnorth and South Shropshire Crucial Crew saw over 740 Year 6 students from local schools attend the week-long event held at Bridgnorth Rugby Club, where they received essential safety training from organisations such as the police and fire service.

Bridgnorth Endowed School was once again invited to contribute to the workshops. Throughout the week, a group of students performed a play designed to raise awareness about the dangers of bullying.

Drama teacher Ms Taylor commented, “Every lunchtime, our students performed a school bullying scenario, sharing advice and strategies for handling difficult situations. As the scripts were written by the students themselves, the performances felt genuinely authentic.”

She added, “Our students did an outstanding job. Their dedication and hard work made a positive impact on everyone attending the event.”

Congratulations to all involved in this important initiative.
