Rehearsals are in full swing for the forthcoming Bridgnorth Endowed School production of Beauty and the Beast, which opens in March of next year.

Under the creative eye and direction of Mrs Taylor, Miss Edwards and Mr Fox, the cast members are being put through their paces as the award-winning Disney classic is brought to life.

The show stars Edward Tellam-Clark (Year 9) as Beast, alongside Lucy Leith (Year 11) who plays Belle, with a large supporting cast that’s been rehearsing in earnest since July.

The school’s creative arts technician, Miss Edwards, revealed: “Rehearsals are well underway and the characters are really starting to develop.”

“We’re working hard on the costumes, which are quite ambitious this year, and we’ve even got some of the students wearing practice costumes for them to get used to performing in them.”

“The scenery is also in the planning and we’re currently looking into an innovative new approach, which we hope will add an extra dimension to the staging.”

Opening night is on Thursday 26th March, 2020 and the team believes that this production will be the must-see hit of the spring with local audiences.
