Year 8 and 9 students were treated to a live theatre spectacular at Disney’s award-winning production of ‘Newsies the Musical’ at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre in London.
Set on the streets of New York City at the turn of the 20th century, the show included gravity-defying stunts and extraordinary choreography on an epic scale in a rousing true story of teenage newspaper sellers dreaming of a better life far from the hardship of the streets.
Described as “a theatrical force of nature” and “a visual spectacular”, our students were left wowed by the infectious energy and incredible dancing that was both athletic and balletic.
The trip, which took place on the last Thursday of term, was a huge success and a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the academic year.
