Special Delivery for Year 12 Art Students

Year 12 Bridgnorth Endowed art students, along with their teacher, Mrs Rhodes, took charge of their ‘Catch Me Who Can’ locomotive statue last week, ready for painting.

The first of two statues due to come to the school was delivered personally by their sponsors Grainger & Worrall and Marches Centre of Manufacturing & Technology.

Having also produced all of the Bridgnorth Art Trail statues, Edward Grainger and Matthew Snelson, along with one of their first-year apprentices, Ella Jones, delivered the statue and chatted with students about their designs.

The Bridgnorth Art Trail will feature 12 statues, each designed by local artists, and is set to be launched at the end of June.

The Year 12 Bridgnorth Endowed art students were selected for two of the statues, after entering their winning designs earlier this year, and were highly commended for their strong submissions.

We’ll be following the students’ progress as they paint the statues and official pictures are featured in next week’s Bridgnorth Journal.
