Bridgnorth Endowed School took a recent East Shropshire badminton competition by storm with four top teams of U14 and U16 boys and girls.
The School Games regional matches, which took place in November and December, saw plenty of fast-fire action and BES produced some exceptional performances throughout.
PE teacher and badminton coach, Mr McAdam, commented: “Our squads showed tremendous enthusiasm and determination to do their best, both on the day and in the weeks and months leading up to the events.”
“All players are to be congratulated on how well they coped with the pressure during the matches and the respect they showed to others in the competition.”
Bridgnorth Endowed walked away with some great results. Both girls’ teams came a close second in their competitions, and the boys secured wins in theirs.
The U14 boys’ team now goes forward to represent East Shropshire at the County School Games being held at the Shrewsbury Sports Village in January.
