More students than ever have been recognised for clocking up millions of words as part of the Accelerated Reader programme and it was smiles all round when they received their badges earlier today.
Bridgnorth Endowed is passionate about making sure that reading for pleasure is encouraged across the school and this is reflected in the number of literacy initiatives that run throughout the year.
This term, students from Years 7 to 9 were all given specially-designed bookmarks to log their reading history, the ‘drop everything and read’ sessions continue on a daily basis and there have been a whole host of exciting book-themed events designed to foster the love of reading.
Congratulations to the following incredible students who have received bronze, silver, gold and platinum awards for reading one, two, three and five million words respectively.
