A group of nine Year 9 students have been announced as Bridgnorth Endowed’s new Peer Mentors and are poised to play a vital role within the school.

The newly-appointed team are tasked with supporting pupils from Years 7 to 9 by providing general advice and guidance, and signposting people and resources where needed.

As positive role models, they will also assist in coordinating programme activities and events that help to promote student engagement – a key focus at BES.

The selection process challenged the applicants to show they had the right qualities to become an effective mentor, including good listening skills, honesty, and the ability to provide constructive feedback.

Pupils seeking support are encouraged to approach the mentors around school or, if they prefer, they can contact them confidentially by emailing peermentor@bridgnorthendowed.co.uk.
