We are becoming increasingly aware of a concerning trend among students involving popular video games such as FIFA and Grand Theft Auto (GTA).
When students lose in these games, they are often encouraged to complete forfeits or dares, many of which are being recorded and shared on TikTok.
While some of these challenges may appear harmless, they can quickly escalate into inappropriate or unsafe behaviour. This not only poses risks to the students involved but may also lead to serious consequences, both socially and within school policies.
We strongly urge all parents and carers to:
- Speak with your child about the risks associated with these forfeits and dares.
- Monitor their online activity, especially on platforms like TikTok.
- Discourage participation in any challenges that could lead to inappropriate content or behaviour.
