Form Focus: Celebrating the Achievements of 7SC

7SC students proudly showing some of the cups and medals they’ve been awarded

Recently, we’ve received an incredible number of good news stories about students in 7SC, so this week we wanted to give them a special Form Focus to celebrate all the amazing things they’re doing outside school.

Across the form, students are showing great dedication to their sports and activities. In darts, Ethan Guider is developing his skills at BES Darts Academy, while gymnastics is strongly represented by Reiva Welch, a gymnast at Edge Gymnastics, and Logan Gordon, who is both a gymnast and a coach there. Abi Derricutt has also had fantastic success as a British Equestrian vaulting champion.

Football is another area where our students are doing brilliantly. Harry Holland has made his mark playing for both Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury, while Sophia Oliver-Jordan leads as Team Captain at Old Wulfrunians. Ella-Mai Watton plays for Bridgnorth Spartans, and Isabelle Reeve represents not only Bridgnorth Spartans but also the North Shropshire District team. Scarlet Childs is another talented player making an impact at Bridgnorth Spartans.

The form also has some impressive swimmers making waves at Northgate Swimming Club. Avalon Parfitt, a member since April 2025, trains regularly and already qualified for the county gala in breaststroke during her first year. Lydia Doyle-Healey recently won five golds and a silver at her team’s Diddy Gala and shaved 5 seconds off her personal best in the individual medley. Liv Homer, also a member of Northgate, produces some strong performances at club galas, and shows real dedication in the pool.

In martial arts, Keira Hodges is working towards her black belt at British Military Martial Arts in Telford this summer, and Fraser Smout continues to progress in karate, currently holding a Green 1 Tab Belt.

Outside of sport, Douglas Spickernell is shining through his involvement with Scouts in Albrighton, showing both commitment and leadership in the community.

Mr Martinez, their Form Tutor, said: “I’m incredibly proud of all the students in 7SC. Their dedication and talent outside the classroom is inspiring. Keep up the amazing work – you’re all setting a fantastic example.”

Well done, 7SC! Keep shining, keep challenging yourselves, and keep sharing these fantastic achievements. We’re really proud of everything you’re doing. 🌟
