Fond Farewell to Mrs Whitmore

Head of sixth form, Mrs Julie Whitmore, will be leaving us at the end of the week, after seventeen years at Bridgnorth Endowed School.

Julie started at the school as the new head of business studies in September 2003, and soon gained a reputation for being efficient, reliable, conscientious and organised.

It was therefore no surprise when, just over a year later, she became deputy director of sixth form. After only a year in post, she stepped up and became head of sixth form.

The care and support she gave the sixth formers was outstanding. She always worked hard to support all pupils both academically and in their future plans.

In 2012/13, Julie also became head of Rowley House, and for several years successfully managed both roles with ease.

Long-term colleague, Mrs Tristham, commented: “Always thoroughly prepared and meticulous in her detail, Julie has worked with many colleagues at BES and been an integral part of the school.”

“She is flexible and accommodating, which is reflected in the departments she has supported and the many subjects she has taught.”

“Willing to take on any challenge, Julie has organised and supported numerous trips, residentials and school events. She is reliable, trustworthy, fair and definitely someone you would want on your team.”

“Julie has been a pleasure to work with and will be hugely missed by everyone.”
