U13 Girls Shine at Indoor Cricket Tournament

What an amazing effort from our U13 girls at the Indoor Cricket Tournament held in Shrewsbury yesterday. A special shoutout goes to Gracie Hakeman, who kicked off the tournament in style with a superb hat-trick in her first three balls against Burton Borough School – the perfect way to set the tone for the day. Excellent batting from Chloe Johnson and Phoebe Law also played a huge part in our success.

Every player gave their all, showcasing the skills they’ve been developing in lessons and at their local clubs, while displaying outstanding sportsmanship throughout the competition. We powered through the pool stage and reached the semi-final against a strong Newport Girls B team. Thanks to a solid all-round batting performance, we secured a well-earned victory and progressed to the final.

The final saw us face Newport Girls A, who brought some effective attacking bowling. Our middle order was put under pressure, but the team showed great resilience to complete the innings. Newport began their chase strongly, but our girls responded superbly, taking key wickets and supporting one another as a team effort. In the end, Newport edged past our total with just four balls remaining.

A huge congratulations to Bridgnorth Endowed on a well-deserved second-place finish. The girls can be extremely proud of their performance, and we’re excited to see them build on this success and push for qualification to the next round.
