Year 11 student, Amy Howell, is flying high after a string of outstanding achievements in trampolining competitions this autumn.
At the National League Trampoline and DMT Finals in Derby this September, Amy reached the top 8 and went on to clinch a bronze medal the following day.
Her success continued at the West Midlands Regional Championships in Worcester last month, where she finished second in her individual event and took first place in the synchronised event alongside partner Ella.
Looking ahead, Amy is preparing for the West Midlands Regional Qualifiers early next year, with the potential to progress to the Inter Regionals and, ultimately, the National Finals.
Amy’s journey into trampolining began at age 11 when she transitioned from gymnastics. A dedicated member of Telford’s Gravitate Trampoline Club, she trains rigorously every Monday and Saturday, demonstrating the commitment and perseverance that has propelled her to regional and national competitions.
Beyond her sporting aspirations, Amy hopes to combine her love of sport with her academic studies by pursuing a career in physiotherapy. After completing her GCSE exams, she plans to study A Levels in Psychology, Biology, and PE at King Edward’s.
With a remarkable autumn behind her and ambitious goals ahead, Amy continues to inspire us all with her talent and determination. Congratulations to Amy on her achievements – her success is a true testament to her dedication and passion for trampolining.
