Year 7 Computer Science Overview

Computer Science enables students to develop essential skills for the future and helps them to comprehend the design, development and creation of new technologies used in the world in which they live.

By following our progressive and innovative programme of study, students are able to build an understanding of how technology works and learn how to use computer systems confidently and effectively.

In addition, they learn how to write computer programmes to solve real problems, which helps them to develop key skills, including computational thinking, writing algorithms and problem solving that can be transferred to further learning and everyday life.
